These Terms govern your use of Minimum Competence CLE (“we,” “us”), a continuing legal education service operated by Andrew Leahey, doing business as Minimum Competence CLE, at cle.minimumcomp.com. By creating an account or enrolling in a course, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility & accounts

Courses are intended for licensed attorneys and those seeking continuing legal education. You must provide accurate account and attorney-profile information, including your legal name and bar identification, and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account.

No credential sharing

CLE credit is personal to the attorney who completes the course. You may not share your account, complete a course on another attorney’s behalf, or allow another person to complete a course on yours. Doing so voids any resulting certificate and may be reported.

Course license

Enrollment grants you a personal, non-transferable license to view the course and its materials for your own professional education. Course videos and materials are our intellectual property (or licensed to us); you may not copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly display them.

Organization-provided seats

A seat-pack redemption link is a bearer credential for a limited number of personal enrollments. Do not distribute it outside the intended group. Each attorney must use their own account and complete every attendance requirement. The purchaser’s commercial terms govern expiration, unused seats, and refunds; voiding unused seats does not by itself erase an attorney’s existing enrollment or compliance record.

Completion & credit

Certificates issue only upon verified completion, including required participation checks and the course evaluation. We accredit courses individually; a course’s jurisdiction, credit amount, credit type, and approval status appear on its page. You are responsible for confirming a course meets your own jurisdiction’s requirements and for your own credit reporting where self-reporting applies.

Certificate numbers support public authenticity and revocation checks. The verification record includes the legal name printed on the certificate, course, completion date, credit details, and current status.

Acceptable use

You agree not to interfere with the platform, attempt to circumvent participation verification, scrape or bulk-download content, or use the service unlawfully.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Course content is professional education, not legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship. The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the course at issue.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
